Monolith Music Fest. Holy festivals, Batman!
Saturday:
The Group, (Heather, Melissa, Adam and I) headed up. Drank. Watched shows. Met up with Nikkiiiiiiiiii and got a blurry picture with her thanks to Drunk Adam's inability to hold anything still that day. Ah well. He was a trouper and dashed up the stairs after her, poor Nikki. I was content with just seeing her walk by us a few yards away but Adam was intent on getting a picture of us together. Ahaha. Fabulous. Vampire Weekend was astonishingly amazing. Dance party, what? sspu, of course, rocked the shit out of the amphitheatre AND played some new tunes. Love. Stayed for Devotchka, almost fell asleep. Attempted to get back to Denver with Drunk Adam's directions. Somehow ended up in Denver and not Nebraska like we thought.
Sunday:
The Group, (this time with Heidi joining us) got to Red Rocks again. Tokyo Police Club. Tilly and The Wall (Heather's favorite band. Also Heather's 27th birthday. I made a sign saying so. Tilly and the Wall wished her a happy birthday. Gave her a set list as a gift. Random people throughout the day told her happy birthday. Other bands here, some wandering there. Drinks all over. The Kills. Band Of Horses. Ended up leaving early and missed CSS - no worries however, we'll see them in Austin.
Monday:
Drive back down to town from Denver. Get ready for Obama's rally here in Pueblo. Speech and crowd are beyond amazing. Was a foot away from shaking his hand. Spankin'!
This Coming Weekend:
Somehow roped into taking a roadtrip with my mommies, Heather and her girlfriend-but-we-don't-call-each-other-t
Following Weekend:
Austin.
